I also like all of these comics equally, though I realize I wrote more elaborate things about some more than the others. I LOVE THEM EQUALLY. Any of them will thrill me. I've done a lot of ficathons, so feel free to check the Dear Challenge Writer Tag if you need more inspiration.
- Steve/Tony, Bucky/Natasha
- Non-con, Dub-Con (Exceptions: Sex Pollen, Pon Farr, Aliens Made Us Do It, which are fine with me. NOT exceptions: Boddice Ripper like scenarios where suddenly the victim likes it, drunk!Sex)
- The following gendered words: bitch, slut, whore (or slut-shaming in general.) If someone is casually calling someone a bitch or a slut in a story, I'm closing the tab.
Other things I don't like, but aren't dealbreakers:
- "We woke up gay" or "only gay for you." or "gay the whole time and the women i dated didn't mean anything/were just beards."
-OTPs that get in the way of characters moving on and having healthy adult relationships with other people.
-Slave A/Us that have abolition movements. Don't apologize for your kink.
-The following a/us I don't really care about: school, werewolf, regency, coffee shop.
-Homophobia/bi-phobia/racism/ableism in canon characters who have never before displayed it.
-Casual Drug Use. Alcohol is fine, but I don't want to read about characters doing weed (or harder drugs) together.
Things I like:
- AUs (alternate characterizations and situations; sex between alternates of one character or between different characters; alternates as catalysts for realization of desire; role reversal; darker mirror universe characters; mistaken identity, hooker/brothel a/us, Alpha/Beta/Omega Universes and D/s Universes)
-Aftermath: of arguments, of the apocalypse, of battles. Bullet proof kink.
- Sexual discovery (of one's orientation; of new kinds of pleasure; of one's partner)
- Talking and communication issues (dirty talk or verbal seduction; ACCENTS, sweet talking; reciting poetry; talking someone to orgasm; talking during sex; pillow talk; phone sex; speech becoming broken as one is aroused or upset; being inarticulate or articulate; aphasia; talking fast; miscommunication and misunderstandings in general; lack of a shared language, keeping quiet while having sex, someone's next door and need to keep it down, being restrained only by command, etc, etc.)
- You and Me Against the World.
-Aliens Made Us Do It or Sex Pollen or Pon Farr.
-Bisexuality and Poly Lifestyles.
-People having sex with Captain America. Even if they have to cross universes/timelines to do it.
A-Babies Vs. X-Babies (Bucky Bear, Steve)
The thing I love about this is the fact that Bucky Bear is just as much Steve's main priority in this universe as Bucky is Steve's in the 616 verse. I love the cuteness of the verse, and the way it allowed everyone to be themselves while still being babies (or bears.) I am okay with Bucky Bear staying a bear, and I also am okay with him being turned into a real boy. Feel free to incorporate any of the baby Avengers, deal with Bucky Bear's trauma after his "kidnapping," or include characters who were not in the comic into this verse. Crossovers are cool, too.
Things I'd rather not have: any mention of Steve/Tony, Bucky Bear being given to anyone else, sad Velveteen Rabbit endings.
Additional details: I am in this fandom for happy feels, basically. If you want to give a little angst on the way to a happy ending, that's fine! I'm just not here for "And then they never saw each other again." I enjoy the deep feelings Steve has for his favorite toy in this verse, and if you want to age Steve up and perv it up and make it a Steve/Bucky thing, that's fine. I don't care if you turn him human or not for porn because I have no actual shame. I am also entirely happy with platonic little Steve and Bucky.
Fandom #2: Avengers (Comics) (Scott Lang, Janet Van Dyne)
I really like both of these characters, and I feel like they don't get to interact enough! I am okay with either setting this in the pre-Dissassembled Era or the post-Children Crusade's Era. I am okay with sad for this, because CASSIE, but I am also okay if Scott and Jan are just watching What Not to Wear and arguing about whose marriage was a bigger disaster. For Scott, I like his history with Tony (and I ship Tony/Scott and Scott/Rhodey and Scott/Clint and Scott/Jack of Hearts). For Jan, I prefer her history with Hank to be kept in the past, though I do like them as friends. If you want to go in a shippy direction with Jan/Scott, that's cool, and Jan/Scott/Hank is the one instance in which I'd be okay with any form of Jan/Hank.
Things I don't want: Cassie's mom, imo, was pretty abusive, and I'm not really interested in a story in which she is portrayed as misunderstood or a victim. I'm also not interested in Jan/Hank by itself.
Additional details: I feel like I should mention that I like Hank Pym a lot? Scott is my favorite Ant-Man, but I am fond of Hank. I prefer his Avengers Academy personality the most, but I do like him. If you want to include him, feel free. If you don't want to include him, feel free. If you want to include Cassie that's great! If you want to write me fic where Cassie's death is dealt with that's awesome. If you want to write me fic that actually deals with the fact that Purple Man sexually assaulted Scott in Alias, that'd actually be amazing. If you just want to write fluffy times between Jan and Scott, that is equally amazing. These two are neglected a lot, so anything you want to write is amazing.
Fandom #3: Captain America (any)
I love all of these characters, and I love them in all possible ship possibilities between the four of them. You can include any combination of Bucky, Sam, Sharon, and Steve in platonic or shipping and I will love it. I'm okay with any of the characters together or alone, and I'm okay with them at any point in their timeline.
Things I'm not interested in: Steve/Tony, Bucky/Natasha, bashing of Sharon/Steve or any implication that they are "unhealthy."
Additional details: The four characters who were nominated are four of my very favorite people in comics. If you want to write shippy fic, go for it. If you want to write porn, go for it. If you want to include characters or timelines that occurred before Brubaker or after Brubaker, I am familiar with them, so feel free. I do not Hold Brubaker as the Sacred Writer of All Things Cap. If you want to include Bernie Rosenthal, that would actually be amazing. If you want to include Rikki, that's great. If you want to include the Invaders, that's also great. If you do just want to focus on Bru's run, that's fine, too! I feel like I have repeated myself a lot here in saying "I love them; do what you want," but man, my love for these four is so over the top that really. Do what you want.
Fandom #4: Hawkeye (Kate, Clint)
The thing I love most about this series is that Kate is an equal (if not better) and that Clint's mistakes are clearly his fault, which has always been the case, just rarely admitted. I loved their interaction when they were on the same coast, and I love that Kate is discovering herself and I love that she will not put up with his shit to the detriment of her own well-being, because no lady should. I adore that they have a complicated custody arrangement with their dog. I do ship it, but it's cool if you don't. I also love that we are going to address deaf issues, because that's awesome.
Things I don't want: fic that has Kate not an adult woman capable of making her own choices, fic that bashes Clint/Kate as a pairing, fic that bashes age differences, fic that has Clint as Kate's "father figure." I like their platonic relationship just fine if that's what you want them to be, but I cannot handle Clint as her dad because that is so not the comic I am reading.
Additional details: I feel like I should also add that I do not ship Clint/Coulson in any universe. In fact, I do not want Coulson anywhere near my Hawkeyes. Kate Bishop is also flawless, and I'm not interested in reading about her "stealing" anyone's dog. I'm also not really interested in Barney at all. I also only ship Clint/Bobbi in the past tense, though Bobbi herself is amazing and can absolutely show up if you like. Kate/everyone is my ship, though, if you want to go in a shippy direction. But I mostly would prefer Kate and Clint's relationship to be the focus, whether you make it platonic or shippy.
Fandom #5: Invaders (Any)
I like all of these characters and if you want to ship them, I am happy with Steve/Bucky, Steve/Jim Hammond, Steve/Toro, Steve/Toro/Bucky, Steve/Toro/Bucky/Jim. I'm not really interested in Bucky/Toro by themselves. I am also okay with fic that explores any of the characters individually. You can set this in WWII or in the present. I am liking the current Invaders book just fine. Feel free to Include Jacqueline, if you like!
Things I don't want: Toro/Bucky, Bucky/Natasha, Steve/Tony, Toro/Ann
Additional details: I am very happy with any of these characters. I don't care about which character you choose to write about, and I don't care when in the timeline you choose to set it. If you do want to write Bucky and Toro hanging out as friends, that's fine! I'm just interested in romance between them unless someone else joins them. Their friendship is pretty great, though. :) I also just really like the fact that present day Ann moved on and didn't mourn a dead dude for the rest of her life, so please respect that if you include Toro or the present day. Also, if you want to write wild A/U where Wonder Woman was an Invader, that's super cool too.
Fandom #6: Flash (Barry)
I basically just have an unholy love for Barry Allen. You can write him doing science, being a detective, having smutty times, sighing at Hal, having smutty times, I don't care. I also don't care if it is pre or post reboot, even though I am partial to post reboot for Barry. But pre reboot Barry is love too. I love Barry with Ralph, Sue, Hal, Iris, and Dinah Lance. Also with Piper.
Things I don't care for: I like Barry's relationship with Wally, but I don't really want fic that focuses on Wally.
Additional details: Anything from Silver Age to post Reboot is okay with me! If you wanted to deail with Barry finding out about the death of his twins, that would be amazing. I will add that I really hate when people make Barry a backwards, homophobic, racist, asshole because he was written in the 50s. It is an automatic back-button. The entire reason I have "making people homophobic when they have never displayed such a trait in canon" in my list of do not wants is because of Terrible Barry Allen Characterization. Barry is my favorite DC character, and I love him dearly. I do not want to read about how he is terrible. (Also I realize now that I wrote smutty times twice in my signup. That was an accident. Sorry!) Also, I ship Barry with Everyone. Also, there is a random "Barry fights in WWII" a/u comic, so if you wanted to casually cross him over to Marvel, that'd be fine. :) If you didn't want to, that'd also be great.
